Thank a Vet Discount Program:

The Erie County Clerk’s office has recently created a program specifically for veterans; it’s called the “Thank a Vet Discount Program”.  It is available to all honorably discharged veterans and there is no cost to apply. You simply take your original DD 214 form to the clerk’s office where they will make a copy of it for your file and then they will take your picture and issue you an ID card. Once you have your card you can use it at all the participating vendors’ establishments, which number over 300 at the present time. The discounts can range from 5% to 40%. It seems like a very worthwhile and beneficial program so I urge you to take a look into it and join up.

This program is also available in Niagara County. Just visit the Niagara County Clerk’s Office with the same instructions as above.
